Christmas Story: The Very Last Room
I wrote and illustrated this story for my new church’s Christmas Eve service. Though it’s after Christmas now, I thought I’d share it so I can at least reference it next year.
Imagine if you were the family who took the very last room in Bethlehem… and had to watch Mary being led around back to a stable. That’s the premise of this original Christmas story.

That’s cute!! Love it! You should put it up on worshiphousekids.com !
Not sure where this research came from, but last weekend I was visiting a church and the preacher said during the sermon that recently some Bible scholars have speculated that it probably wasn’t an actual “Inn” that Mary and Joseph stayed at, but more likely a relative’s house. Interesting? The Nativity story keeps changing!! First I learned that there were probably really more than 3 wise men, that they probably didn’t come for several years after Jesus’ birth, and now it wasn’t really an Inn!
Bah. So they had a manger at Cousin Sid’s house? Weird.
Ok can you put that on dvd? I would love to show it next year.
James, that was an awesome story! Loved it! I read a story each year at our Christmas Eve service. Will you get this in print? or could I pay for a copy of it? Would love to have it to read next year to my kids/families. Let me know.
Thanks …
P.S. The discipline notes are great! Will be using and implementing some of the stuff in our services soon.
